3rd Learning is an education company dedicated to the development and
integration
of educational technologies and professional development to
advance teaching and learning.
A major focus of our work is to design strategies to assist teachers in understanding
and applying a standards-based approach to teaching and learning. One significant effort has been the development of robust education web portals that are fully standards-aligned. Our systems are built to deliver resources to teachers in ways that seamlessly connect academic standards to daily teaching and learning. While our projects focus on bringing high-quality and relevant educational resources in a standards aligned web environment to teachers, parents and children, a second major thrust of our portal systems is to provide teachers with easy to-use, integrated classroom tools that enhance their teaching effectiveness.
3rd Learning has recently completed the building of comprehensive web-based systems for the
Pennsylvania Department of Education (www.pdesas.org), New York S t a t e
(www.NYLearns.org), and the country of Turkey (www.ekampus.orav.org.tr) among many
other initiatives.
